We live in a fantastic time of technical and design innovation. With devices and services that do more and more with each passing day and are easier and easier to use with each iteration, it seems there is a premium in making things easier to use. But it just takes a quick walk around the real world to see that a lot of this innovation has yet to spill over. It feels like we have a long way to go...

App Notifications: We're almost there.
Like a lot of people nowadays, I own and use a lot of devices. I have an iPhone, an iPad, a PC, and a MacBook Pro, all of which I use on a daily basis. Almost all of my apps and data are online (“to the cloud!”) and moving from device to device has usually been a fairly seamless, almost magical experience. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well it’s worked thus far....
